Scent Description: Patterned after the famous Green Irish Tweed scent that was created for Cary Grant. This scent has been put to use by men like Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood, meaning this is what real men smell like, whether they're stepping out in a tuxedo like Redford, or making a canoe out of someone's forehead like Eastwood. I feel more masculine when I use this.…

**Please Note: This scent was reformulated in late 2025. It is now closer to the actual Green Irish Tweed and will be the scent profile moving forward.

Ingredients: Beef Tallow, RSPO (Sustainable) Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance Oil, Sodium Lactate

Bar Size: 5.5oz

Storage: Please store unopened soaps in a location that is cool, clean, and dry. This will help them last longer. Once a bar is in use, store it in a dish with slats, wire rack, or any soap dish prevents water from pooling underneath the soap. There are no chemical hardeners in the soap, nor are they milled soaps. Leaving them sitting in water will cause them to turn soft and greatly reduce the overall life of the soap.

Customers praised this tallow-based bath soap for its excellent lather, moisturizing properties, and clean feel. Many loved the sophisticated masculine scent described as "fresh" and "clean." However, some noted fragrance inconsistencies, with recent reviews mentioning a formula change that made the scent weaker or different from original batches.

One of the best decisions

So I've been looking to swap from all liquid bath products to bars. Help reduce waste, make more space in my bathroom, and it's just easier for traveling. And there's a lot of stuff out there that makes you question if it's worth making the switch... I'm glad to say with Sterling it is worth the switch. Smells great and it's high quality for a really good price. Even my friend Jacob has made the switch after giving him some small sample pieces like to try. My best friends nephew practically ran away with the executive man. 😂 As you can see from the picture I have a full set of the sharp dress and executive man. I also have a set of sandpiper. Those are mine and my girlfriend's favorite scents.

The shampoo lathers up great. It really gets my hair clean, but it doesn't overly strip the oils. I've been able to shampoo my hair everyday without issue. Which is very impressive. Cuz depending on your hair type you only want to shampoo it every other day, and possibly condition it every day.

The conditioner takes a little coaching to get it properly all through your hair. But it's worth it. My hair has never never looked and felt healthier. And I'm glad to say it lasts a good while. You don't have to worry about it running out too quickly. ( But yeah After you shampoo your hair, just put a good coat of conditioner on, and let it sit and your hair as you wash the rest of your body, then runs it out.)

Body soap is pretty great. It's a big chunky boy. Lol. Cuz it's soft I'll actually cut it into smaller strips. I'll keep a strip in the shower for washing my body and another one by the sink to wash my hands. You can get a lot of use out of it. Great lather with a washcloth.

Overall if you can make the switch to bars, I highly recommend it. Especially Sterling soap. Ps. I'm using this one review I made for all six of the bars. Just cuz it's easier and quick.

Good but unfortunately not what it used to be :(

I’m still going to give this one 5 stars because it smells good and I never did get a chance to review the original scent, but unfortunately this one isn’t the same that it used to be :( I do know Stirling was having trouble with a supplier of scents and this one I do believe was one that they had to get the scents from someone else. (Correct me if I’m wrong about that though please) But this used to be my top 3 as well but it’s just not there now. There’s something missing that was very specific to this scent but I just don’t know what it was. It may be the muskiness that this one used to have isn’t in this one anymore. Hopefully Stirling can come through and bring this one back to the way it used to be.

NOTE: Fragrance has changed

I believe they had to get a new manufacturer to formulate this scent. Unfortunately it's not as good as it previously was. Previously the scent was very close to GIT - one of my favorite scents. The soap now is much more medicinal smelling and faint. Struggling to get any of the notes I used to get with this fragrance.

Smells like Windex

I've purchased a lot of different Stirling products, including a variety of their bathsoaps, and all of them have been excellent. Until this one. I've enjoyed the Sharp Dressed Man shampoo, conditioner, and shave soap in the past. So this time around, I decided to purchase multiple bars of bath soap, a shampoo bar, a sample of the aftershave, and the beard oil. The bath soap bars and the shampoo bar smell terrible. They all have an extremely strong chemical smell reminiscent of Windex. Because the conditioner bars last much longer than the shampoo and bath soap bars, I still have my older Sharp Dressed Man conditioner bar; the shampoo bars and bath soap bars I received smell nothing like it at all. The aftershave and beard oil smell fine. But something seems really off about the shampoo and bath soap bars. It's the first real dud I've gotten from Stirling. I'm particularly bummed about it because this time around I ordered multiple bars.

Every Girl Crazy 'Bout a Man Who Smells Like a Million Bucks

I never thought I'd smell like a Hollywood legend for a fraction of the price, but here we are. Stirling's Sharp Dressed Man bath soap has turned my shower into a luxury experience that would make both Cary Grant and Billy Gibbons nod in approval.

This tallow-based miracle is inspired by Creed's Green Irish Tweed – a fragrance that normally costs north of $300 per bottle (Google it) and is reportedly worn by stars like Robert Redford and Clint Eastwood. Yet somehow, Stirling captured the essence of this high-end cologne in a bar of soap that actually outperforms those chemical-laden bars from the box stores.

The scent is sophisticated without being pretentious – fresh, clean, and subtly masculine with hints of lemon and herbaceous notes that make you smell like you just stepped out of a luxury boutique rather than your cramped bathroom. It's the olfactory equivalent of upgrading from a polyester blend to fine Italian wool.

What impresses me most is the lather quality – rich and creamy with staying power that doesn't disappear halfway through your shower. My skin feels noticeably better after using it – not dry or tight, just clean and comfortable. And unlike those mass-market alternatives with ingredients I can't pronounce, this soap contains real stuff like beef tallow, coconut oil, and olive oil.

Bottom line: Whether you're wearing gold watches and diamond rings, or just a clean shirt and new shoes, this soap will have you smelling like the sharp-dressed man you aspire to be. And at this price, your wallet will stay fat enough to buy a top coat and top hat too.

Consistent product quality, customer service, and on-time delivery.

I’ve been a customer for a few years now after my son (22 years active duty in the USAF) turned me on to the company. Love the products, and love doing business with an American company.

Good scent, subtle

I've had their shave soap and liked it a lot and am now enjoying this for a bathroom bar. I started using it at the start of Winter and the dry season - as advertised it hasn't dried my skin out.

Great Lather And A Subtle Yet Pleasing Scent

Sharp Dressed Man has a green, fresh, pleasing scent, it's not especially strong but it's pleasant and lingers a little on the skin. The soap itself performs great, it lathers really well and rinses off cleanly, leaving your skin feeling hydrated. I originally got this as a sample and knew as soon as I tried it I wanted a bar, Stirling bar soap is the best artisan soap I've tried and at a price much lower than most.

Pleasant but subtle

Scent is as described, but of the Stirling scents, this one is on the more subtle side (not a problem, just an observation). This one won't perfume your bathroom. It lathers well, and cleans well.

Lathers fast, rinses clean, nice big cake for the price.

Wife even loves it so what's not to love?

Didn’t last me very long but was great soap.

The soap didn’t last me longer than a week but that was probably my fault. It was a great performer.

5 Star Soap

Perfect for this upcoming spring season! Smells better than most soaps on the market and it compliments my other products in this line. Also have the EDT, Shave Soap, and Aftershave. This is a very smooth fresh and clean with a hint of sweetness to it. Perfect line of products for this time of year, smells so good and perfomance is good as well!

Great Scent

This scent is awesome! It's definitely what I'd consider to be a traditionally "manly" scent. It's not super fruity or sweet smelling while stilling having a good scent.
Can't think of anything specific that it smells of but it's kinda citrus-y and maybe a little herb like? Very good.
As with all more traditional soap it does give you that slight film feeling right after rinsing. That fades quickly though and is worth not having a plastic bottle in my opinion.
